YANA exists so people can speak anonymously about wrongdoing and find others who lived the same thing. That only works if this stays a place of good faith. These guidelines explain what belongs here, what doesn't, and what we do about content that crosses the line.
YANA is a network of witnesses. It is a place to report corruption, abuse of power, and other wrongdoing; to corroborate patterns others have described; and to preserve evidence. We distinguish voice (what people say happened) from evidence (what can be shown) — and neither is a verdict. We do not decide who is guilty. We make the evidence visible.
Report in good faith. Protect the vulnerable. Never use YANA to harm an innocent person. Everything below follows from that.
We have zero tolerance for the following. Content that does any of these will be removed, and the ability to post may be withdrawn.
Any sexualization of minors, or any content that exploits or endangers a child, is absolutely prohibited and will be reported to the appropriate authorities. There are no exceptions and no context in which this is acceptable.
Knowingly inventing an accusation, impersonating a victim, or filing a report you know to be untrue. Honest mistakes and unverified good-faith accounts are welcome — that is what "voice" means — but deliberate fabrication is not.
Using YANA to harass, threaten, degrade, or wage a personal campaign against an individual, rather than to document wrongdoing in good faith.
Publishing private information (home address, personal phone, family details) to identify, locate, or endanger a private person. Naming a public official in connection with their official conduct is different from exposing a private individual's personal life.
Threats of violence, incitement to harm, or calls for retaliation against any person. YANA is a tool for accountability, not revenge.
Pornographic or sexually explicit material. (Reporting sexual misconduct is welcome and important — describing an offense is not the same as posting explicit content.)
Attacks on people based on race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or similar characteristics.
Advertising, coordinated inauthentic activity, or flooding the platform to distort what is reported.
Most reports on YANA are allegations that have not been proven. We show them as voice, clearly marked as unverified, precisely so that no single report is treated as a verdict. Reporting something in good faith — even if it later proves mistaken — is not a violation. Deliberately lying is.
On any case, use the "Report a problem" link at the bottom of the page. Choose the reason that fits, add any context, and send it. It goes straight to our moderation queue. You can report anonymously — we never require you to identify yourself to flag something.
